Information package for travelers to the Paris Olympics

The Summer Olympics in Paris are approaching, and the European Consumer Centre (ECC) France has published new material in English on its website for tourists heading to France for the games. The extensive information package, initially released at the beginning of the year, was updated in May to include additional material on traveling in Paris by car or public transport during the Olympics.

If you are planning to attend the Olympics with your own car or a rental car, you can find information about the French highway toll system, car rentals, parking, and various environmental zones on the ECC France website. Car-driving tourists should also familiarise themselves with French traffic regulations.

The public transport material provides key information about getting around Paris, including ticket prices and purchasing options. It also includes details on route planning and the most congested lines. Note that public transport will operate on a limited schedule one week before the opening of the Olympics and on the opening day, July 26, 2024, so travelers are advised to plan their journeys carefully during this period.
