France will host major sports events in 2023-2024. The Rugby World Cup will be held from 8 September to 28 October 2023 in nine different locations around the country. The 2024 Summer Olympic Games and the Paralympic Games will be held in 16 cities and Tahiti. The European Consumer Centre’s French office (ECC France) has published an extensive information package and a QA section on its website to guide visitors to sports events on practical issues such as tourists’ rights, ticket purchases and accommodation.
ECC France has prepared the information package together with the French Consumer Authority, and it has been published in English and French. Tourists can also get information and advice from consulates and travel agencies based in the cities hosting the events.
The question and answer section will also be added to later on with information on topics such as rail travel, public transport, taxis and restaurant services in France.
