In the beginning of September 2016 we told about numerous complaints against the Latvian company Aliaz Cooperation SIA's weight loss product, Fatkiller. Consumers have visited the company's website, for instance via an advertisement in Facebook, and given their name and address, but left the website without clicking the order button. Regardless of this, the seller sent them a parcel containing the product and an invoice. The European Consumer Centre Finland provides answers to frequently asked questions regarding the situation.
Am I obligated to pay the invoice? No, you are not. If you have not ordered the product, you should not pay the invoice regarding it.
Am I obliged to return the package? No, you are not. You should, however, get in contact with the seller and inform them that you have received a package that you have not ordered.
Am I obliged to pay the return postage? Do not return the product unless the seller agrees to pay the return costs.
Do I get a bad credit record if I don't pay the invoice? No, you don't. Payments that are simply delayed do not result in a bad credit record. A relevant court decision is required.
I have already returned the product but nevertheless I got a payment reminder. How should I act now? First send an e-mail to the seller, stating that you have already returned the product and request that the invoice will be withdrawn. Please contact us, if this does not solve the problem. Email us your claim, the seller´s replies, as well as the invoice. We will aim to reach an amicable solution with the seller. Our email address is email@example.com.
