ECC-Net Travel App helps consumers with difficult situations on their holiday

Bought something on holiday that became defective shortly afterwards? Trouble with rental cars or hotel accommodation booked from home? Delayed plane on the return flight? The new ECC-Net: Travel App mobile application helps consumers with difficult situations on their holiday in EU area and to express their consumer rights in the 23 European languages.

The app is free of charge and works offline to avoid roaming charges. It is available for mobile devices with iOS, Android and Microsoft Windows operating systems.

The ECC-Net: Travel App was launched on 2 July 2014 in the European Parliament in Strasbourg. The different topics are: retail purchases, car rental, hotel accommodation, medical treatment, air and rail transport as well as bus and marine travel. A section with useful information offers important phone numbers and contact details for every day emergencies.

The ECC-Net: Travel App is a joint project of all 30 members of the ECC-Net. There is a European Consumer Centre in every EU member state, as well as in Norway and Iceland, offering free consumer help and advice. The Centres are co-funded by the European Union.
