To fill in the online form, please go to Spanair’s website . The Insolvency Administration will receive claims until the 15th April 2012.
Those passengers who had to fly between the 27th January and the 9th February 2012 (both included) can claim the compensation established by Regulation EC 261/2004 of the European Parliament and the Council, of 11th February 2004:
a) EUR 250 for all flights of 1500 kilometres or less;
b) EUR 400 for all intra-Community flights of more than 1500 kilometres, and for all other flights between 1500 and 3500 kilometres;
c) EUR 600 for all flights not falling under (a) or (b).
Finally, passengers willing to communicate any other kind of credit can use the “Other amounts (other expenses incurred)” section. In this case the affected passengers will have to send to the Insolvency Administration the supporting documents, indicating as reference the air ticket number, by e-mail at

If the amount claimed is the cost of the air ticket, passengers do not have to send any supporting documents to the Insolvency Administration; it is enough to fill in the online form.
The European Consumer Centre does not know at this stage whether Spanair’s assets are sufficient to cover all its debts.
If you have already sent your claim for compensation to the liquidator by post, you need not fill in a complaint form. However, we advise you to acquaint yourself with the complaint form in case you want to complete your claim for compensation.
