The European Online Dispute Resolution (ODR) Platform will be discontinued as of 20 July 2025

The European Commission will discontinue the European Online Dispute Resolution (ODR) Platform on 20 July 2025. You can use the platform until 19 July 2025, but it has no longer been possible to submit new complaints since March 2025. All relevant information and documents concerning your case should be retrieved and saved before the platform is shut down.

All user information on the ODR platform will be permanently deleted after the platform’s closure. Therefore, please ensure that you export all necessary data no later than 19 July 2025.

If you encounter any difficulties downloading your data from the ODR platform, the European Commission will assist you. Please send an email to JUST-EC-ODR-REPEAL@ec.europa.eu. Kindly note that this mailbox is only available for queries related to downloading data. The Commission will respond within 15 working days.

For other inquiries related to the ODR platform, please contact your national contact point. In Finland, this task has been assigned to the European Consumer Centre. If you have questions about the ODR platform, you can contact us by email at odr@kkv.fi or by calling +358 9 5110 1205.

After the closure of the platform, consumers may turn to the European Consumer Centre in cross-border trade disputes. You can reach us through our contact forms or by phone. In addition, the European Commission and national contact points will later launch a new website to help consumers find appropriate dispute resolution tools.

The ODR platform was launched in 2016 to facilitate the resolution of disputes related to online purchases. It allowed consumers and traders to communicate about disputes and, if necessary, refer them to a certified alternative dispute resolution body.
