Information and assistance on cross-border shopping within the European Union

The European Consumer Centre Finland provides consumers information and assistance on cross-border trade in the European Union. Where necessary we also provide assistance to consumers who have a complaint against a trader in another EU-country. The European Consumer Centre Finland belongs to the European Consumer Centres-Net, whose aim is to increase consumers confidence in cross-border shopping in the internal market. The Centre is financed by the European Commission and the Finnish Consumer Agency.

On 1 April the European Consumer Centre Finland has opened a website, where consumers can find information and advice on shopping in the internal market. Consumers, who wish to get tips for ecommerce, purchase of second-hand cars or timeshares will find useful information on how to secure their interests and to avoid any possible pitfalls. There is also advice on making complaints and information on redress avenues for consumers, who have encountered problems.
